This charcloth has
been specially designed
for use in a Fire Piston. It is a firm, card-like tinder, making it
ideal for
Fire Pistons. It works just aswell with Flint and Steel strikers.
The problem with
using normal charcloth in
a Fire Piston is the quality of the materal. The material needs to be
as dry,
fiberous and as dense as possible inorder for an ember to be created
during the
'ignition' of the Fire Piston. The other issue with using normal
charcloth in a
Fire Piston is the problem of trying to get the fluffy charcloth
material to
sit firm in the piston head.
